Tips on Choosing a Florist in Minnesota

Tips on Choosing a Florist

Choosing your wedding vendor team will determine how your wedding will look, feel, and run. It’s a big deal and can be overwhelming. There are so many amazing vendors in the Twin Cities area that it can be hard to narrow down and choose someone. Hopefully this blog will help you a bit when choosing a florist!

  1. First off, be sure you have a date and venue booked and set. Otherwise there is no way of knowing if we are available or not.

  2. It may surprise you, but you can't really price shop with florists. Why I say that is that every florist is different and gives you a different product. Yes, they might be the same types of flowers, but the design, experience, and care of the flowers can vary a lot.

  3. Take a look at their portfolio. Do their designs resonate with you? Do you like tighter rounder designs, or more organic and whimsical designs with movement? Does where the florist gets their flowers matter to you? Do their practices matter to you? Are they sustainable?

  4. Do you like them as a person? How do they make you feel when you meet with them? And most importantly do you trust them that they will give you what you are looking for for your wedding florals?

  5. Don’t even know where to start looking? I’d suggest reaching out to the vendors you have already booked (likely venue, planner, and photographer at this point) to ask them if they have any recommendations. You can also search on Instagram, but vendors to vendor referrals are always your best bet!

If you are reading this and looking for all your vendors, you’re in luck because I have a blog with my favorite vendors to work with!
